March Update!

Third Visitation Day

Becky and Emma organized a wonderful family dinner for the third visitation day. Dr. Mufumba and the "quadruplets" (the four youngest children) joined them so that the whole PFP family could be together!

Dr. Mufumba wrote to Becky and sponsors:

"We all enjoyed the excitement, the hugs, with a variety of foods, different dishes and side dishes including fruits and sodas. Haha, it must have taken you a very good amount of time and efforts to prepare all this! To all of the supporters, I want to appreciate you so much for sending the funding for this event. It was a great success. Some of the kids told me about their performance like Friday who was the 8th in the tests while Longok Agnes was the second. That was a day we shall live to remember."

Water Tower

We're making progress with the water tower! The men PFP hired are hard at work replacing the old water tower with a new water tower. This will allow us to store more water and to ensure that the water is cleaner.

Around The World Raffle Winner Announced!

On March 24th PFP randomly selected Mike from Calgary, Canada as the winner of the raffle! Congratulations Mike! Mike shared that he plans on going to Thailand. Have a blast!

Thank you to everyone who participated! Hopefully you'll win the winning ticket next year!

Looking For a Sponsor!

We're still looking for a sponsor for Wafula Bosco!

Wafula Bosco's amazing story:

"I was born in Wangobo village, Busia District in Uganda. When I was young, I lived with both of my parents and had three fellow siblings, my eldest sibling being disabled. As time went on, our second born died. I was too young to know why she died and no one ever told me. When I was five years old, our last born also died but again I do not know the cause of death. Later on, my mother, father, and sister and I went to live with my uncle so that he could help us.
While at our uncle’s home, my father died, I don’t know how it happened. In 2008, my mother became very ill and she passed away in 2010. My uncle’s income was not enough to sustain us, so he gave us away to the police, who later took us to a church in Walukuba-Masese. They saw my sister was disabled and brought me with her to aunt Edith’s house (Home of Hope for disabled children). This home was just letting me stay there until I could find a place to live permanently. In 2012, The Peace for Paul Foundation gave me a permanent place to call home."

We're also looking for a sponsor for Moses!

Moses' story:

Moses’ father died when he was very young and he had been living with his mother who was unable to gain employment and could not provide for him. Before joining the PFP family, Moses was left alone (without food or sustenance) in the slum all day to care for his young 2 year old sister, Nangiro, while the mother spent the day on the street begging for food and rent money. Before joining our family, Moses had never attended school but now thanks to his sponsor, he will finally have the chance to do so.
