September Update!

Backpacks Arrived!

Director Lisa and her family spent a week on holiday in Uganda. They were kind enough to bring over and deliver the backpacks to the kids. Sponsors, thank you so much for your generosity! You made the children so happy! Lisa reported that some of the most valued items in the packages were the photos and letters you sent. The kids feel so attached to all of you!

Heidi, President of PFP, will be sending out individual photos of your sponsor child via email sometime this month. We hope you enjoy them! Thank you again!

Current Fundraiser

Our fourth annual online auction is underway! We are currently collecting items for auction - anything from gift cards, to artwork, to jewelry, to electronics, to gift baskets, to vacation homes, etc! All items will be collected (or photographed) by mid-September and the catalog will be distributed for bidding early October. This year we have a lofty goal, but one that we believe we can reach! If you are able to contribute any item please contact one of the directors of PFP. 100% of the proceeds will benefit our 45 PFP children.

Volunteers

We would like to thank our amazing volunteers Yarek, Gracie, Tasha, Martin and Jessica! Thank you for all of the love and support you've given to the PFP children! A special thank you to Gracie who spent months collecting DVDs for our kids to watch.

Supplemental Education Classes

This holiday the following programs will be offered: English classes for our new children, novel (reading) program, morals code curriculum, fire drills and reviews of safety procedures and nutrition. In addition, CPR and first aide training will be taught to PFP employees again.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Ayaki Daniel and Achia

Currently all 45 PFP children have a sponsor. However, we will be brining in another 6 to 8 children in November 2013. If you are interested in sponsorship, please contact one of the directors of PFP.

As an alternative option, we are currently looking for PFP Family Sponsors and Medical Sponsors.

Family Sponsors sponsor all 45 PFP children! You can sponsor the PFP family at any dollar amount each month. When PFP has unexpected school or home costs we use these funds to cover them.

Medical Sponsors may also sponsor the PFP family at any dollar mount each month. As you can imagine with 45 children we have a lot of unforeseen medical expenses (e.g. root canals, jiggers, broken arms, cavities, etc). This type of sponsorship helps us to cover those costs.

Please contact Heidi if you are interested: heidi@peaceforpaulfoundation.org Thank you!

School Visitation Day

Emma, Becky, Olivia, Innocent, and Fred took a beautiful meal to the children's school on visitation day. The children were so happy to see their caretakers and proudly gave them a tour of their school and current projects.

Farmer Fred Foods

Peace for Paul's farming business is doing very well so far! In fact we just had our first harvest. The intention of FFF is to produce more fresh food for our children and also to sell what is not used in our children's homes.
